Laura V. Wheeler is a visual artist working mainly with photography and video, graduated in Fine Arts and holding a Master’s degree in Art, Creation and Research from Complutense University of Madrid. Born in Madrid to a Puerto Rican father and a mother from the United States, she has spent her life not fully belonging to any one place.
This displacement has led her to a deep interest in territory, identity and human behavior — and in nature as a force that confronts us with our own existence. She uses observation and listening as tools to understand the complexity of human beings.
